All four members of the band are experienced musicians in a range of genres. We came together in 2000 (we think - memories are hazy) and have been playing at festivals, clubs and dances ever since. The core of our music comes from the old-time tradition of the Appalachian mountains but we also venture into other related musical styles such as minstrelsy, ragtime and vaudeville.
Helmut and Steve also appear separately as The Moonshine Strollers presenting a wide range of music from the 20s and 30s plus some Victorian classical banjo.
Helmut plays his own Orb banjos. For details of his luthier work visit him at www.helmutrheingans.co.uk
